Delhi Capitals (DC) beat Gujarat Giants (GG) by 25 runs in the 10th match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 on Sunday, March 03, 2024, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Radha Yadav was the pick of the bowlers for the Capitals as she finished with figures of 3/20 in her four overs and helped the team restrict the Giants to 138/8. Ashleigh Gardner was the only Giants batter to have caused some problems for the opposition. She scored 40.
Earlier Lanning, captain of the Capitals top scored with a 55 while useful contributions came from Alice Capsey (27) and Annabel Sutherland (20) to post 163/8 in their 20 overs. The Giants dropped four catches and did a lot of misfields to help the Capitals cause. However, the bowlers of the Gujarat side were better and Meghna Singh was the pick of them with figures of 4/37 in her four overs.
GG skipper Beth Mooney won the toss and decided to bowl first against. Both the teams made two changes each in their playing 11.
While Sneh Rana and Harleen Deol gave way to Tarannum Pathan and Veda Karihsnamurthy in the GG playing 11, Annabel Sutherland and Titas Sadhu were included in the DC playing 11 in places of Marizanne Kapp and Minu Mani.
