The loved ones of Valeria Mireles are mourning a tremendous loss.
The Mexican influencer, who was crowned Miss Rodeo Nuevo León in 2020 and Miss Rodeo Mexico in 2021, died March 10, the Mexico Rodeo Federation confirmed on social media. She was 20.
“It is was deep sorrow that we join together to pay tribute to the memory of Valeria Mireles,” the organization captioned its March 10 Instagram post in Spanish. “Valeria was more than a rodeo queen; she was an ambassador for cowboy culture, an inspiration to many young people.”
“Her smile lit up every arena, her passion for rodeo was contagious,” the message continued. “Although his departure leaves us a void, his legacy will live on in our hearts and in the memory of the rodeo.”
The influencer, known as Miss Rodeo by her followers, died following a car accident in the northeastern state of Nuevo León, according to multiple outlets.
