Tom Holland’s spidey senses are tingling again.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be the next installment featuring Holland, 28, as Marvel’s titular webbed superhero, again costarring Zendaya as MJ Jones-Watson, distributor Sony confirmed at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Monday. Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan and more are also set to return, as well as newcomer Sadie Sink.
The film will be released on July 31, 2026, Sony announced.
Holland appeared at CinemaCon via video to help the studio tease the continuation of Sony’s Spider-Man cinematic universe at Caesar’s Palace.
The Destin Daniel Cretton-directed Brand New Day follows the seismic events of 2021’s box office smash Spider-Man: No Way Home, which brought into the fold actors who previously played Peter Parker and many of his on-screen villains, including Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire, Willem Dafoe, Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina.
The film’s title references the 2008 comics storyline that helped establish a new status quo for Spider-Man following 2007’s One More Day story.
That installment provided an uncertain ending for Holland’s Spider-Man, who shattered the multiverse with the help of a fellow Avenger, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, and eliminated himself from the memories of MJ and his other loved ones.

Last October, Holland confirmed that his fourth time leading a Spider-Man movie was underway. On The Tonight Show, the actor told Jimmy Fallon that filming would begin in the summer of 2025. “Everything’s good to go. We’re nearly there,” he said at the time. “Super exciting. Yeah, I can’t wait.”
Holland and Zendaya, who got engaged in January, are currently filming director Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey together. That adaptation costars Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson and more. Zendaya, set to reprise her Emmy-winning role on HBO’s Euphoria, has also been spotted filming upcoming movie The Drama with Pattinson.
At their presentation, Sony also unveiled details about the upcoming releases of director Sam Mendes’ four Beatles biopics, Karate Kid: Legends and more. The studio also confirmed that the animated Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will open on June 4, 2027. CinemaCon 2025 runs from March 31 to April 3.
Brand New Day will open after Marvel Cinematic Universe’s star-studded Avengers: Doomsday on May 1, 2026.
