Stock Market LIVE on Tuesday, July 09, 2024: Benchmarks Sensex and Nifty50 continued their upward momentum in intraday deals on Tuesday.
The BSE Sensex was up over 300 points at 80,300 levels while Nifty50 hit a fresh life-time high at 24,419.70, and quoted above the 24,400-mark.
Maruti, L&T and Titan were the top gainers while Reliance Industries, Tech Mahindra and UltraTech Cement were the top laggards on BSE.
Similarly, on NSE, Maruti, L&T and ITC were the top gainers while ONGC , Dr Reddy;s and UltraTech Cement were the top losers.
Meanwhile, broader indices were off highs but continued their positive momentum. Nifty SmallCap was up 0.42 per cent while MidCap was trading 0.21 per cent higher.
Most of the sectors were trading in the green. Nifty PSU Bank led with a gain of nearly 2 per cent, followed by Auto (up 1.15 per cent). Oil & Gas, on the other hand, was the top loser (down 0.29 per cent)
