The Serie C playoffs warm up the engines. In fact, only three teams are directly promoted to Serie B 2024/2025 and have already been designated: Mantova in Group A, Cesena in Group B and Juve Stabia in Group C. The rest of the Serie C teams must go through the playoffs for the last place available, as happened last year for Lecco. The Serie C playoff schedule has been completely defined, as have the dates, which, as announced by the president of the Serie C League, have changed. THE REGULATION – 28 teams will participate in the playoffs, i.e. those classified from second to tenth place in the three groups plus the winner of the Serie C Italian Cup. 21 teams will participate in the first phase, classified from fourth to tenth place in each group. In the first round of the first phase, 18 teams participate, six from each group, while in the second the 9 qualified plus the three fourth-placed teams for a total of 12. In the second phase, first round, the six qualified teams plus the third-placed teams from the groups participate and the winner of the Italian Cup for a total of ten teams. The five qualifiers plus the three runners-up will participate in the second phase, for a total of eight teams. The four qualifiers participate in the final four, competing in two semi-finals and then in the grand final.
