Kingnewswire / Press release // A year of celebration and progress: the Church of Scientology and the Celebrity Center of Grand Paris mark their first anniversary
Saint-Denis-A year after its inauguration, the Church of Scientology and the Celebrity Center of Grand Paris celebrated their first birthday with an animated and inspiring weekend, filled with festivities, artistic expressions and a reaffirmation of their humanitarian mission. The celebration has brought together hundreds of guests from all over France, including community leaders, long -standing artists and Scientologists, all united to recognize a year of common achievements and objectives.
Just a year ago, in April 2024, the church officially inaugurated its brand new head office in Saint-Denis, thus commemorating its presence in France since. This event marked a new chapter in the presence of the Church in the Paris region, offering services and awareness programs extended to its members and to the general public.
The anniversary weekend started on Friday April 4 with a very inspired seminar dedicated to Le Chemin au happiness, a non-religious moral code written by the founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard. Eduardo Galan, renowned Venezuelan artist and speaker, addressed the audience, stressing the remarkable impact of this booklet in his native country. “In total, 5 million copies of the Le Chemin du happiness booklet were distributed to the population, including the police and the prisons,” said Galan.
The Saturday program included a special information meeting, during which church leaders retraced the development of Scientology administrative technology from 1950 to the present day. This meeting was followed by an energetic concert given by scientologists who interpreted Anglo-Saxon and French hits from the 1980s and 1990s, an exhilarating performance that made the audience applaud and sing.
The heart of the celebration took place during the official birthday ceremony. The church leaders made a presentation retracing the many important stages of the first year, ranging from regular participation in courses and seminars to the vast humanitarian efforts carried out by volunteers. The ceremony also welcomed two surprise guests, church allies, who spoke emotionally about the heritage of L. Ron Hubbard. One of them said: “I saw that Mr. Hubbard was not looking for glory or wealth, but something else for humanity: happiness. »»
The joyful atmosphere continued in the evening with a spectacular moment: the unveiling and sharing of a giant birthday cake in the form of an Eiffel Tower, made by the best French pastry chef of 2024. The guests left on this occasion with champagne in the elegant atrium before meeting at the Réquoia café to enjoy a sumptuous buffet at will, created by none other than the country.
Sunday started in style with a concert of classical music given by the international renowned pianist Cyprien Katsaris, whose moving performance added a touch of sophistication to the spiritual ceremony. The weekend ended with another seminar of Eduardo Galan, this time focused on art, a subject that was particularly close to L. Ron Hubbard. Mr. Galan shared a powerful quote from Mr. Hubbard:
“The artist has an immense role to play in improving today’s reality and the creation of that of tomorrow. It is one step ahead of science with regard to the needs and requirements of man … The elevation of a culture can be measured directly by the number of its members working in the field of aesthetics. »»
The Church of Scientology and the Celebrity Center of Grand Paris were inaugurated by the ecclesiastical chief of the Scientology, Mr. David Miscavige, in April 2024. Designed to reflect the ideals and the mission of the church, they offer ultramodern facilities for spiritual elevation while serving as a center for community collaboration and humanitarian initiatives.
While it begins its second year, the Church continues to be a symbol of optimism, creativity and unity, doomed to help individuals reach higher levels of spiritual conscience and build a better world for all.
The presence of Scientology in France has continued to grow over the years, supported by a dynamic community engaged in humanitarian values, education and spiritual improvement. The Church of Scientology is now represented in more than 160 countries and has received numerous distinctions for its contribution to society, whether it be literacy programs, drug prevention or human rights education. The international scope of the Church and its commitment to intercultural dialogue have earned it the advisory status with the United Nations through its future Spanish Fundacion. She has also obtained religious recognition in many countries such as Spain, the United States, Portugal, Sweden, Italy, South Africa, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, Mexico, Colombia, Panama and many others, thus consolidating its role as world spokesperson for freedom, ethics and human dignity.
