While the dates are subject to change, United are currently due to play four top-flight games on Tuesdays and Wednesdays – an increase of one on last season’s initial schedule.

Aside from a trip to Wolves on Boxing Day, which falls on a Thursday this year, the Reds’ next midweek assignment will be in mid-January, with Southampton slated for a Wednesday trip to Old Trafford.
