From 1976 to 1978, Peter Griffiths was an organiser at the Inner London Education Authority’s English Centre for secondary teachers.
As a very young English teacher at a challenging Ilea school, I appreciated visits to the centre enormously. The programmes and publications were inspirational, providing much-needed ideas and stimuli for everyday teaching. This was largely thanks to Peter, who was ahead of his time.
