After the rainbow, precisely, of the first goal, the calm returns to Juventus that in the championship had been troubled by the disappointing draws with Roma and Empoli. The performance is overall remarkable, indeed brilliant. Clearly the best match of the season for the Bianconeri, because not all the matches won by scoring three goals are the same, obviously. And in fact the initial 3-0 with Como and Verona do not hold a candle to this 3-1.
The other goalscorers were also splendid. McKennie was in the right place at the right time to double the lead. And it is the metaphor of his recent history. He should have been somewhere else (he refused Aston Villa: remember?) or at most on the bench, watching the overpaid Douglas Luiz from whom he instead took away his starting place. Well done Thiago Motta for recovering him, neutralizing the foiled sale engineered by Giuntoli.
