Juventus is no longer Massimiliano Allegri’s team. The Livorno coach was sacked yesterday following his behavior at the end of and after the Italian Cup victory against Atalanta. The press release issued by the club has not yet announced who will take his place on the bench, but the choice is clear and today will be Paolo Montero day for the Bianconeri.
WITH THE SPRING FOR DISQUALIFICATION –
Montero is currently the coach of the Primavera team and yesterday afternoon he left with the Under 19s for Frosinone. This morning the team is on the pitch and Montero punctually showed up at the stadium, but not to train the boys, but rather to serve out the one-day ban that was hanging over him. Only in this way, in fact, will he be able to sit calmly on the first team bench on Monday evening when Rabiot, Danilo and his teammates face Bologna.
ANNOUNCEMENT EXPECTED IN THE EVENING – After the match Montero will return by train with the Primavera team towards Turin and will only be in the city in the late afternoon. There is anticipation for the official announcement of the promotion to the first team which should arrive today or at the latest tomorrow morning, in time to sort out the bureaucratic procedures.
TRAINING DIRECTED BY PADOIN AND MAGNANELLI – In the meantime, the first team will not remain still and the training program will continue. Allegri will not be there, nor his staff who, like the first coach, have been relieved of their duties. Only Simone Padoin and Francesco Magnanelli remained available, promoted by Allegri, but not part of his small group. They will be in charge of today’s training.
