Ever had a prank call from someone claiming to be a celebrity? Well, that’s what happened to Jamie Oliver — except it actually was an A-lister on the other end of the line.
During a recent interview on Nova FM, the British chef told the wild story of when Jennifer Aniston enlisted him to cook for Brad Pitt on his 40th birthday in December 2003.
“I actually was Brad Pitt’s 40th birthday present from Jen,” Jamie told the show’s hosts, revealing that the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity began with a surprise phone call from the Friends star.
He said it “took a bit of a while” for the two to connect, but once Jen got through, she explained that Brad was a massive fan of his cooking show.
As any fan would, Jamie quickly accepted the offer and was flown out to the US to cook for Brad, Jen, and a whole host of celebrity pals celebrating his birthday, including Courteney Cox and Ed Norton.
Reflecting on the experience, Jamie spoke highly of Brad and Jen, saying: “They’re both beautiful people.”
Funnily enough, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard stories about Brad and Jen’s love of food in their marriage.
Last year, Brad’s True Romance costar, Michael Rapaport, shared some rare information about the couple’s $1 million wedding in 2000, revealing there was a very, very expensive edible arrangement for guests to enjoy.
Oh, how the other half lives!
