Inter are Italian champions before the European Championships. The Nerazzurri win the Scudetto like three years ago, but there is a huge difference in managing the transition from one season to the next. From the pessimism we breathed we have moved on to an air of justified optimism. THREE GOODBYES – In 2021 the downsizing ordered by president Steven Zhang led to the divorce with coach Antonio Conte and forced managers Giuseppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio to sell two valuable pieces of the caliber of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea and Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain .
THREE RENEWALS – Now it’s a completely different story. In fact, having won the second star, Inter starts again with three fundamental figures in the team. Official announcements are still missing, but the club has practically secured the coach, captain and vice-captain with new (richer and longer) contracts: Simone Inzaghi, Lautaro Martinez and Nicolò Barella. OAKTREE – This is a great business card for the new ownership, which immediately went from words to deeds. The American fund Oaktree is demonstrating that it wants to carry forward a project for the good of Inter, as well as for its own interests as is inevitable. On the other hand, a first fundamental indication was the total trust immediately renewed in the sports area. NEW HUNTERS – In practice, the team and management are put in the ideal conditions to continue competing at the highest levels in Italy. Also because, compared to this dominated championship, next year there will be much more competition. The Nerazzurri “hares” will have to “dodge the shots” of the new “hunters” (Marotta dixit): Paulo Fonseca at Milan, Thiago Motta at Juventus and Antonio Conte at Napoli. We’ll see some good ones.
