Chris Appleton Reacts to Kris Jenner’s Beauty ‘Resurgence’ After Her Decision to ‘Refresh’ Her Facelift (Exclusive)

Chris Appleton is “obsessed” with Kris Jenner and her beauty “resurgence.”

The celebrity hairstylist, 42, shared his thoughts about the momager of the Kardashian-Jenner empire during an exclusive chat with PEOPLE at a Ralph Lauren Fragrances event in New York City on Saturday, Sept. 13.

“My whole Instagram and TikTok is just Kris Jenner,” Appleton says of the 69-year-old business mogul. “It’s a Kris Jenner fan account at this point. I’m obsessed with her. She’s so funny.”

Jenner has been making headlines since opening up about her decision to “refresh” her facelift on September’s cover of Vogue Arabia.

Appleton adds, “I just love that she’s having this resurgence, and she’s living her best life. I’m all for reinventing yourself at any age. And I think she is the queen of doing that right now.”

“And do you know the best part about it? She’s having a great time doing it. She’s generally not trying, she’s just having great fun,” he continues.

As for how Appleton is supporting Jenner during this time, he says, “I love how we’ve been changing up her hairstyle because she was known for the iconic short hair.”

“We’ve been doing all different looks, and I think she just looks amazing,” he adds. “She’s such a fun person to work with, so it’s always a great time.”

Jenner, when divulging details about her most recent cosmetic enhancement, told Vogue Arabia, “I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh. I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy.”

Jenner then expanded on her outlook on aging, explaining, “Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself. If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully — meaning you don’t want to do anything — then don’t do anything. But for me, this is aging gracefully. It’s my version.”

The mom of six has opened up about her past procedures, which include multiple breast augmentations, an earlobe reduction and Botox.

Appleton, meanwhile, is gearing up to release his debut book, Your Roots Don’t Define You, which comes out on Jan. 20. His book draws on tales from his career — including anonymous client stories — along with his own life experiences to “explore the power of reinvention,” per the book’s official synopsis.

The Color Wow Hair director has worked with several A-listers throughout his career, including Jenner’s daughter Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande and Dua Lipa

This isn’t the first time Appleton has shown his love for Jenner. In June, the hairstylist attended a red carpet event wearing a Kim-approved T-shirt that read, “I’ll have what Kris Jenner is having.”

The Sept. 13 event celebrated Usher’s newly-appointed role as global brand ambassador and the face of Ralph’s Club New York Eau de Parfum.
