Milan captain Davide Calabria limped off with a muscular problem during the Serie A match against Napoli and is now at risk for the Europa League tie with Rennes.
The right-back pulled up in the first half at San Siro and was seen clutching the top of his right thigh, in the adductor area.
He was replaced by Alessandro Florenzi and limped back to the touchline.
Initial reports from Sky Sport Italia and DAZN suggest that Calabria is a major doubt for the first leg of the Europa League play-offs against Stade Rennais.
That is scheduled for next Thursday evening and it seems unlikely that the Italian will be risked, especially considering the very long list of muscular injuries that Milan have been dealing with all season.
With regards to those previous setbacks, it is worth noting that central defender Malick Thiaw should be back in the squad for at least a spot on the bench against Rennes, almost three months since he sustained a serious strain.
