Khephren Thuram reveals he had a very special dedication with his goal celebration for Juventus against Verona. ‘My brother is my idol.’
The midfielder broke the deadlock in this evening’s tricky Serie A fixture at the 72nd minute, finally knocking down the Hellas Verona wall with his first-time finish on an Andrea Cambiaso assist.
Teun Koopmeiners came off the bench and fired in from a tight angle to seal the 2-0 result late on.
“It was important to score a goal, as Hellas Verona are a very defensive side that clam up well, but we are very happy and got the second too,” Thuram told Sky Sport Italia and DAZN.

His goal celebration looked rather familiar, as it was the same one used by Khephren’s older brother Marcus, who plays as a striker for Serie A rivals Inter.
“It did it because my brother is my idol.”

This was the fifth consecutive Serie A victory for Juventus, who now find themselves only six points adrift of leaders Inter.
Considering on Sunday they go head-to-head with third-placed Atalanta in Turin, does Thuram believe in a possible late Scudetto push for the Old Lady?
“As always, we take it one game at a time and want to win as many matches as we can for the rest of the season.”
