The historic re-election of former President Donald Trump has forced the Regime Media into a period of self-examination as they begin to attempt to process the reasons why the American public chose Trump. Some have decided to skip the self-examination and have instead chosen to lash out at the public.
Watch as MSNBC’s resident A.W.F.U.L. Stephanie Ruhle goes through that exact sequence in her show’s open:
MSNBC THE 11TH HOUR WITH STEPHANIE RUHLE
11/6/24
11:00 PM
STEPHANIE RUHLE: Good evening once again. I’m Stephanie Ruhle, and it has been a very long 24 hours for all of us. So this evening, we are going to do a little something different together. In 74 days, Donald J. Trump will be the 47th President of the United States. We’re not going to be an autopsy of the candidates or the campaigns. What we are going to do tonight is take a step back and look at who we are as a country and what we actually want. This is not about Donald Trump or Kamala Harris. This is about a huge portion of our population who rejected the current system and what we have to solve for is why. We are the most prosperous and powerful nation in the world. This country is winning. I want to know why so many people in this country are feeling like we’re losing. Whether it is the economy, immigration, or for lack of a better term, “wokism”, we have now let misinformation become the accepted information. It has washed over us. Elon Musk, he buys Twitter and then he uses it almost exclusively to be a propaganda machine and we’ve accepted it. We’ve accepted a narrative that despite an actually great economic recovery, the vibes don’t feel good. So we want to reject it and get something else. And the person we are now betting on to change all of it is Donald Trump, a man who did two almost impossible things. He won the American presidency twice and he drove a casino into the ground. What will the future hold now that America has just decided we’re going to F around and find out?
In summation of that entire rant, Ruhle is mad at voters for refusing to accept at face value that the economy is great, and that things are going well under the Biden-Harris administration. “The vibes don’t feel good” is how Ruhle dismisses voters’ legitimate concerns over the economy and the cost of living, which exit polling shows was the top issue of this election.
What we have here is the often-discussed spurned gatekeeper lashing out. How dare you base voting decisions on the price of eggs and the cost of rent after Ruhle has already told you that everything is peachy? How many times must she report from Davos and Aspen before you rubes begin to listen to her?
What’s worse, you rely on Elon Musk’s X for news and information, as opposed to accepting narratives from the Regime Media. That’s what’s really at the heart of Ruhle’s rant, which was followed by a 20-minute struggle session that attempted to understand why people voted for Trump.
If Ruhle really wants to understand why voters rejected “the system” and went for Trump, perhaps all she needs to do is look in a mirror.
