From the pages of La Gazzetta dello Sport Fabio Capello, a coach with a very important past at the helm of Milan, focused on the complicated moment the Rossoneri club is going through. Focusing on the reasons for the difficult start to the championship – just 2 points collected in the first 3 days – and on the many cases on the pitch that the new coach Paulo Fonseca has found himself facing. Starting with the case that saw Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao as protagonists in the last Serie A match against Lazio. “Theo and Leao were stamping their feet, like someone throwing a tantrum. The club is fine with talking, but if Fonseca wants to still have control of the team, he has to solve it himself. And have the players follow him”, Capello declared to the Rosea. On the problems encountered at the start of the season by the Rossoneri team: “Milan surprises me. After a year as an unbalanced team, little order and many goals conceded, they have started again in the same way, without balance. And they are already chasing Inter. As my friend Ottavio Missoni told me: “It’s the midfield’s fault”. On the gap that has already developed with respect to their direct rivals for the Scudetto: “Points are points, if you lose them then you have to recover them: especially if after a certain type of market the ambitions are important. And they are teams with 40-50 thousand season ticket holders”. Finally Capello made his predictions for the championship, in particular on the main candidates for the title: “Inter are the most ready, the most complete, the most tested in the game system. The most difficult thing for Inzaghi will be the turnover, watch out for the mistake he made at Benfica by changing more than half the team: you change two or three players, at most”.
